Chelsea 8/11 for Premier League Title
Sky Bet have cut Chelseas odds of claiming the Premier League title from 4/5 to 8/13 following their 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Didier Drogba got both goals and is 7/2 to win the Golden Boot after taking his tally to 17, four behind 1/3 favourite Wayne Rooney.
The win sent Chelsea two points clear of Manchester United, both teams having played 25 games.
Manchester United, who handed bottom of the table Portsmouth a 5-0 drubbing, are 11/8 to defend their crown and get their fourth title in a row, while Arsenal are now 16/1 (from 10/1) as they are now nine points behind Chelsea.
Sky Bets football betting spokesman Tim Reynolds said: After this weekends results it now looks a two horse race. Manchester United host Chelsea at the beginning of April and that single fixture could decide the title.
Liverpool are now 5/6 for a top-four finish with Sky Bet following the weekend\\\’s results – they face the Gunners on Wednesday and a win at the Emirates would see Rafa Benitez\\\’s team close within two points of third-placed Arsenal.
Man City are 6/5 for a Champions League place after they lost to Hull, with Aston Villa and Spurs both 4/1 after they shared a 0-0 draw.
At the other end of the table, Wolves were cut to 5/6 for the drop after they lost 2-1 at Birmingham on Sunday.
Hopeless Pompey are now 1/8 for the drop but Burnley have drifted to 10/11 for a return for the Championship after they beat West Ham 2-1. West Ham, who make up the bottom three along with Pompey and Wolves are 3/1 to be relegated.
Hull are now odds-against for the drop at 21/20 after they stunned Man City. Bolton are 3/1 to go down after they drew 0-0 with Fulham.
